Auditions will be held at the LPCA Theatre 17 Algonquin Drive, Lake Placid. (Please enter through the Performers Entrance door at the back of the building to sign up, fill out audition forms, etc.) All auditionees should wear/bring clothing that you will be able to move/dance in as short choreography will be taught/done as part of the audition process.
Auditions will be split by age group (actual age and stage/character age) in the following way:
Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.: Teens (14 and older) & adults - this is anyone wishing to audition for Miss Trunchbull, Miss Honey, Mr. Wormwood, Mrs. Wormwood, Doctor, Mrs. Phelps, Michael Wormwood, The Escapologist, The Acrobat, Rudolpho, Sergei, Children’s Entertainer, Ensemble (Big Kids, Parents, Cook, Henchmen) A Character Breakdown for what readings/music you should prep for the part(s) you are auditioning for is available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday, Jan. 18th 9 a.m. to 12 noon: children (ages 8 to 13) -this is anyone wishing to audition for Matilda, Bruce, Lavender, Kid’s Ensemble (Small Kids - Amanda, Nigel, Eric, Alice, Hortensia, Tommy) A Character breakdown for what readings/music you should prep for the part(s) you are auditioning for is available by emailing email@example.com
If necessary there will be callback auditions Monday Jan. 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. (for both age groups with the younger kids in the earlier portion).
If unable to attend either Thursday or Saturday please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible as the Monday Jan. 20th callback slot is our planned cutoff for casting.
