Community Connections of Franklin County and The Pines Tap & Table are working together to provide a free meal to members of the local communities.
On June 27, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., members of our local communities can pick up a free meal consisting of a cheeseburger, fries and a bottle of water at The Pines Tap & Table, which is located at 135 Bare Hill Road in Malone. The meals will be offered via a “drive-up” method only to adhere to local and state laws for social distancing. Everyone needs to enter via Bare Hill Road from Route 37.
The dispersing of the meals will be conducted by individuals that have proper personal protective equipment, such as appropriate face coverings/face masks and gloves, and the meals will be brought to vehicles. Meals are limited to 500 individuals.
Lee Rivers, Community Connections of Franklin County’s executive director, stated, “We are so grateful to have received a grant from Mother Cabrini Health Foundation which has allowed us to partner with The Pines Tap & Table on this initiative. I think it is very important that not-for-profit entities give back to their community, it is even better if they can partner with a local business who has the same goal in mind. I am so thankful to the owners of The Pines Tap and Table for their support to our agency and the community overall.”
The Pines Tap and Table will also be working with local businesses, Tucker’s Black Angus Ranch to supply the beef and Meier’s Artisan Cheese.
