Mobile farmers markets sponsored by the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity were recently highlighted in the New York state Department of State newsletter. The article noted they are quite popular and utilized by many.

The following is the schedule for the JCEO Mobile Farmers Market beginning July 6:

Monday Bus 1: Saranac Lake Adult Center, from 10 to 11 a.m.; DeChantel Apartments from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and Tupper Lake Adult Center from 12:45 to 2 p.m.; Bus 2: Summit Park, Churubusco from 10 to 11:45 a.m.; Municipal Center in Ellenburg from 12:10 to 2 p.m.

Tuesday: Bus 1 Waverly Town Offices from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; Franklin County Courthouse from noon to 2 p.m.: Bus 2: Fort Covington’s Rainbow Park from 10 to 11 a.m., Pine Ridge Campground from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. and the Department of Social Services building in Malone from noon to 2 p.m.

Wednesday Bus 1: The Alice Center in Malone from 10 to 11 a.m., the UVM-Alice Hyde Medical center from 11:15 to 12:30 p.m., the Walsh and Edwards Law Office from 12:25 to 2 p.m. Bus 2: Trails of Malone from 10 a.m. to noon and the former Owls Head Catholic church from 2:30 to 2 p.m.

Thursday Bus 1: The Akwesasne Housing Authority from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Generations Park from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Bus 2: Catherine Street housing in Malone from 10 to 11:15 a.m., Elm Street housing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and Sawyer Avenue housing from 1 to 2 p.m.

Friday Bus 1: Citizens Advocates on Finney Boulevard from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and The Franklin County Courthouse from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Bus 2: Lyon Mountain Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to noon and the intersection of State Route 374 and County Route 24 in Brainardsville from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
