Ogdensburg – Bishop Terry R. LaValley accepts a $10,000 donation from the Knights of Columbus (K of C) State Warden Dr. Charles Robinson at the September 27th K of C regional meeting in Ogdensburg. Dr. Robinson presented the donation on behalf of the New York State Council K of C and its 85,000 members, almost 4,500 of whom reside in the Diocese of Ogdensburg.

The Knight’s Charitable and Benevolent (C&B) raffle raised the money. Each year C&B raises approximately $500,000 for charities across the state including the Special Olympics, the Sisters of Life, Catholic schools, Catholic school scholarships and disaster relief and local charitable programs. New York’s eight bishops each receive $10,000 of C&B monies for diocesan charitable and religious needs. The Knights are very grateful to the many North Country people who support the C&B program.
