Donations presented by Saturday Morning Quilters

The Saturday Morning Quilters presented a quilt to the Auxiliary of the American Legion In Malone. The quilt will be raffled to raise monies for the Veterans.

The Saturday Morning Quilters consist of 25 ladies who have at the Malone Adult Center for 14 years. The group originally formed at the Moose Club.

Instructor for the group is Joan Rabideau. Member include: Marsha Benware, Julie Cartwright, Susan Collette, Paulette Dear, Margie Decker, Marlene Demers, Maureen Dumont, Madelyn Fleury, Valerie Johnston, Violet Lacroix, Francine Lacroix, Renee Lane, Debra McMahon, Marion McGarvey, Winnie McQuinn, Debbie Merrick, Barbara Paye, Sue Prue, Phyllis Santamore, Donna Sauther, Debbie Stone, Sue Strienz, Kay Tompkins, Kimberly Torres and Teri Weston.

During this time, they have not only made quilts, but have presented pillow cases for the battered women group, the children at Camp TA-KUM-Ta and the Ruth House. Other projects were dresses for girls in Africa as a well as a prior quilt donated to Wounded Warriors at Fort Drum.
