Alzheimer’s caregiver support group
The Alzheimer’s Association in collaboration with the Caregiver Support Initiative hosts a memory cafe and caregiver support group the second Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. at 57 Rennie St., Malone. There is no cost to attend.
Food pantries
The town of Bellmont operates three food pantries with distribution locations in Bellmont Center, Brainardsville and Owls Head. Food pickups are on Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 17, Dec. 15. For more information, call 518-483-9313.
Cancer awareness event
A benefit for the Malone Reddy Cancer Treatment Center is scheduled for Aug. 27 from 3 to 9 p.m. in the Arsenal Green. There will a bounce house, baked goods, face painting cotton candy and snow cones, antique cars, vendors, DJ, and much more. Survivor ceremony and walk will be at 3 p.m. and a Luminary ceremony will be at 8:30 p.m.
