MALONE — Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday but 14 recent recoveries kept Franklin County’s total known number of cases at 52 active infections, officials said.

There are currently 222 county residents listed as either quarantined or isolated.

Cumulatively, officials suspect there to have been at least 2,679 cases of the virus since last year — while 2,533 cases have been confirmed.

In total, 16 county residents have died from COVID-19 related complications.

The county’s COVID-19 positivity rate, as of Wednesday, is 2.33%. The weekly rolling average is 2.04%.

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center on Friday reported 12 new cases of COVID-19.

Two Tribe members have been released from isolation, marking 19 known active cases under Tribe jurisdiction, in Akwesasne’s U.S.-portion.
