MALONE — Five new COVID-19 cases and five recent recoveries from the virus have brought the total known number of cases in Franklin County to 41 infections.

Currently, there are 189 county residents who are either quarantined or isolated.

Cumulatively, officials expect there to have been at least 2,700 COVID-19 cases, since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 2,563 confirmed cases.

The positivity rate, as of Monday, is 2.21%. The weekly rolling rate is 2.43%.

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center on Tuesday reported one new COVID-19 case under Tribe jurisdiction.

Eighteen Tribe members who live in Akwesasne’s U.S.-portion remain in isolation. Nobody has been released from isolation, since Monday, EOC officials said.

Forty-five Tribe members remain in quarantine.
