MALONE — Three new positive cases of COVID-19 and seven recent recoveries have brought Franklin County’s total known number of cases to 41 infections, officials said.

There are currently 225 county residents listed as either isolated or quarantined, according to the county’s online COVID-19 database.

Cumulatively, officials suspect there to have been at least 2,695 infections, since the start of the pandemic. There have been 2,560 confirmed cases. In total, 16 county residents have died from complications brought on by COVID-19.

The county’s positivity rate, as of Saturday, is 1.74%. The weekly rolling average is 2.43%.

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on Monday reported six new cases of COVID-19, under Tribe jurisdiction. Three Tribe members have been released from isolation, however, 16 people remain, in Akwesasne’s U.S.-portion. There are 42 Tribe members who are quarantined, EOC officials said.
