MALONE — There were five new cases of COVID-19 detected over the weekend, while nine Franklin County residents recovered from the virus and cleared quarantine, officials said.
This brings the total known number of cases in the county to 45 active infections.
Cumulatively, officials suspect there to have been at least 2,692 cases of the virus in the county, since the start of the pandemic, last year. There have been 2,555 confirmed cases.
Currently, there are 238 residents listed as either quarantined or isolated, according to Franklin County’s online COVID-19 database.
The positivity rate, as of Thursday, is 2.65%. The weekly rolling rate is 2.20%.
