n Jeffrey S. Jarvis, 39, of Burke, was charged by New York State Police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, in connection with an incident in the town of Malone. Issued an appearance ticket.

n Shannon M. Montpetit, 36, of Ogdensburg, was charged by Malone Village Police with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor; and several Vehicle and Traffic Law infractions. To appear in Malone Town Court on Oct. 15.
