Tuesday

n Carl W. Smith, 37, of Malone, was charged by Malone Village Police with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Arraigned in Burke Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

n Robert Mulverhill Jr., 33, of Malone, was arrested by Malone Village Police on a warrant issued by the state Division of Parole. Mulverhill, who was released on parole in October after serving time for a 2013 conviction in Franklin County Court on a charge of second-degree strangulation, is listed as absconded on the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision website. Committed to the Franklin County Jail pending a parole hearing.

n Kurtis L. Countryman, 38, of Malone, was charged by Malone Village Police with third-degree attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors. To appear in Malone Town Court on Aug. 27.

n John W. Woodard Jr., 42, of Lake Placid, was charged by Malone Village Police with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor; and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. To appear in Malone Town Court on Aug. 27.
