n Tracy L. Fournier, 53, of Upper Jay, was charged by New York State Police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, in connection with an incident in the town of Santa Clara. Issued an appearance ticket.

Sunday

n Glenn D. Rousseau, 38, of Malone, was charged by Malone Village Police with first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny, all felonies. Rousseau had been indicted by a Franklin County grand jury in August on charges of second-degree burglary, a felony; and fourth-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both misdemeanors, in connection with an August 2019 burglary at a Fort Covington Street residence in which several handguns and a quantity of jewelry was reported stolen. In 2004, Rousseau had been sentenced to four years in state prison after being convicted in Franklin County on a charge of second-degree attempted burglary. To appear in Franklin County Court today.

n Carl P. Sherwin, 72, of Malone, was charged by Malone Village Police with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, after the former Franklin County legislator allegedly entered an apartment he owns without the tenant’s permission. To appear in Malone Town Court on Oct. 22.
