MALONE –– A Malone man charged in November in connection with an August 2019 burglary was arrested again Wednesday after he was indicted by a Franklin County grand jury on a felony burglary charge.
Glenn D. Rousseau, 38, was arrested by Malone Village Police on a warrant after he was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, a felony; and fourth-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both misdemeanors. Rousseau was arraigned in Franklin County Court and committed to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Rousseau had originally been charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies after being extradited from Massachusetts, where he had fled after police searched his hotel room and found two handguns that were among nine stolen during am August 2019 burglary at a Fort Covington Street residence. A quantity of jewelry was also taken in the break-in, police said.
