WESTVILLE –– A Malone woman is facing multiple charges, including one felony, after she was stopped for failing to signal a turn Monday evening.

Brandy L. Fountain, 38, was charged by New York State Police with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony; and driving while ability impaired by drugs, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and third-degree unlicensed operation, all misdemeanors, after she was stopped by troopers after she turned from State Route 37 onto County Route 20 without signaling, troopers said.

The first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation charge is a felony because Fountain’s license was previously suspended in connection with a driving while intoxicated charge, troopers said.

Fountain was released with tickets returnable to Westville Town Court.
