MALONE –– A Massena woman is facing a felony charged after she allegedly attacked a physically disabled person during a domestic dispute in the town of Malone.

Stephanie M. LaFleur, 49, was charged Saturday by New York State Police with first-degree endanging a physically disabled person after she allegedly struck the victim in the head and face multiple times with her hands. She was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, for allegedly taking a cell phone from another person’s hand in an attempt to stop them from calling police about the altercation.

LaFleur was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and released on her own recognizance, to reappear in Malone Town Court at a later date.
