Daniel McLaney, 68, of State Route 30, Malone died Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Born on March 20, 1952 in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of Frank and Sylvia (Clark) McLaney.
Daniel moved to the Malone area in March of 1986 from Staten Island. He moved into Citizen Advocates Inc. on Sawyer Ave and then ICF on Sawyer Ave where he enjoyed living a comfortable life with his friends that lived there for many years. Then Daniel had the opportunity to move to a smaller setting and enjoyed many years at the Citizen Advocates, Inc., 168 IRA on Fort Covington Street. In 2013 Daniel moved to Citizen Advocates, Inc., Constable B, which would be his final home.
Daniel has left many friends, which he made during this period of his life. Everyone that knew him and had contact with him always had a friendly story to tell about the good days or times that they had with Daniel.
Daniel enjoyed participating in many arts and crafts activities in his younger days and outdoor activities were always part of his favorite times. You could always tell it was a good time by the smile he passed your way. Those times will be the best memories for all to keep and share.
A graveside service will be held at the Brainardsville Cemetery, Brainardsville on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. with Rabbi David Kominsky officiating. In accordance with current health restrictions, those in attendance are asked to observe the use of facial coverings and social distancing.
