Diane T. Clark, 63, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, January 6, 2020 at her home in Potsdam.
Born on May 28, 1956 in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of John L. Sr. and Louella (Thibeault) Clark.
Diane graduated from Chateaugay Central School in 1974 and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Le Moyne College in Syracuse in 1978. She continued her education at Albany College of Law and graduated in 1981 and obtained her license to practice law in New York State in June of 1982. She practiced private law in Ulster County for a year, then worked as the Assistant District Attorney in Kingston, NY from May 1983 to February 1988 and then practiced private law for another five months. After moving back to Malone in January 1989, she worked as the Malone Assistant District Attorney. She also volunteered for many charitable organizations such as Community Connections, where she helped train people and was on the Board. She was active in the Catholic Church and was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Brushton. Diane was active in the Senior Community, visiting nursing homes and shut-ins.
Diane leaves behind her siblings, Lorraine Simmons of Chateaugay, Clarence Clark and wife, Jean, John Clark Jr. and wife, Luci of Virginia and Randie Juntunen and husband, Bryan of Merrill. She also leaves three nieces whom she dearly loved, Kelsey and Meg Juntunen of Plattsburgh and Crystal Simmons of Burlington.
Diane was predeceased by her parents and her godmother, Angela Duval.
