Dorothy L. Paquin, 89, of Malone died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Aug. 3, 1930, in Marlboro, MA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Laura (Burhoe) Gaynor.

She was married to Percy Paquin on June 4, 1950, in Immaculate Conception Church, Marlborough, MA. He predeceased her on Nov. 6, 2008.

Dorothy graduated from Marlborough High School. She was employed by Tru-Stitch, Malone, retiring after 45 years of service. She lived most of her life in Teboville until her husband’s death, when she moved to Malone. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and loved Stewart’s coffee ice cream.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and John Coryea of Malone, NY, and Denise and Greg Stone of Acworth, NH; five granddaughters, Lindsay Santamore of Glens Falls, NY, Courtney Perkins Ellis of Wardsboro, VT, Brittany Peryea of Cadyville, NY, Sarah Monette of West Waterboro, ME,

and Melissa Monette of Portland, ME; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews from the Malone area including Mike and Julie Paquin, Deborah Lawson, Paul Paquin (predeceased) and his wife, Karen Paquin, whom Dorothy considered her extended family.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and nine siblings, including two sisters who lived in Malone, Ann Paquin and Jeanette Sullivan.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Notre Dame Church. In accordance with current health restrictions, those in attendance are asked to observe the use of facial coverings and social distancing.

Burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery.
