Ida M. Pritchard, 65, of Malone, NY., passed away Sunday evening, January 12, 2020, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born in Malone, NY., December 24, 1954, she was the daughter of the late George and Beulah Downer Putraw. She attended local schools.
Many years ago, Ida was employed by the Malone Dress Factory, she later worked as a C.N.A. at the Alice Hyde Medical Center and lastly as a cook at the Burger Den Restaurant, in Malone.
She was an avid supporter and served on the committee for Relay For Life. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, sewing, cooking, bowling, playing cards and dice, going to the casino, plastic canvas, making Barbie Doll clothing and making dresses for children overseas.
On July 14, 1990, she was united in marriage to Peter J. Pritchard, Jr. in Malone, NY. He survives.
Along with her husband, Peter, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jessie and Larry Whitney, Jr. of Malone, NY., one nephew that she raised as a son, John Pritchard of Malone, NY., one brother and sister-in-law, George and Donna Putraw of Malone, NY., one sister, Georgia “Birdy” Putraw of Malone, NY., her extended family, two sisters-in-law, Sandra Bouvia of Malone, NY., and Ann Leveille and her husband Pierre of Malone, NY., three brothers-in-law, Paul Pritchard of Malone, NY., Tracy Pritchard and his life companion, John Dufrane of St. Regis Falls, NY., and Raymond Pritchard and his companion, Lynn Mulverhill of Malone, NY., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Peter J. Pritchard, III., one brother, Peter Putraw and two sisters, Gloria Lamica and Rose Putraw in infancy.
Calling Hours will be Monday, January 20, 2020, from 11 a.m. until Noon, at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery, in Malone, NY.
