Jacob F. “Jack” Leicht, 86, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at River Terrace Healthcare, Lancaster.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Florence I. (Stariha) Leicht; four children: Ann M. Fleury and her husband, Charles, of Lancaster; Vicky L. Sauve and her husband, Chad, of Ellenburg Depot, NY; Louis R. Leicht and his companion, Carrie Olinger, of Hillsboro, Oregon; and Adam J. Leicht and his wife Katie of Sherwood, Oregon; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Bobbie Brand, who died in 2007.

Jack was born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin, son of Jacob and Kathryn (Kram) Leicht. He was a graduate of Central High School, Superior, and attended the University of Wisconsin at Superior. A US Army Veteran, pioneer of the sport of skydiving in Superior, Wisconsin, (helping in the formation of Sky Dive Superior); Fan of the Year at North Country High School in Newport, Vermont; a longtime resident of Malone, New York, and four-year resident of Clinton, Massachusetts.

For 35 years, he worked as a logistics manager at Bombardier Corporation, retiring in 1997.

He was a former member of St. Edwards Parish, Derby Line, Vermont, where he served as a Eucharistic minister; A longtime member of the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Fraternal Aid Society (Polish Club). Jack enjoyed fishing on Lake Superior, and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.
