Jerry L. Fletcher, 74, of State Route 30, Malone died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020 at his home.

Born on Oct. 30, 1945 in Joliet, IL, he was the son of Arthur and Florence Fletcher. They predeceased him.

He was married to Wendy Bickford on Sept. 4, 2010.

Jerry served in the U.S. Army in 1968. He owned and operated Brookside Forge for many years where he worked as a farrier. He was also a minister for many years. Jerry was a lifetime member of the Brotherhood of Working Farriers Association. He received certification of honors in appreciation of outstanding service from the Metropolitan Prison Ministries Inc. He also received certification of ordination to do the work of the Gospel Ministry.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; three step-children, Heidi Lyons and her husband, Rick, Melissa Kane and Terry Preston and his wife, Karen.

Visitation will be held at Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Bentley McQuinn officiating.
