Dickinson Center – Norma A. Harder, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone with her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lee at her bedside. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. Norma was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts on January 8, 1927 to the late Armeto and Pasqualina (Ricci) Luzi. After her graduation from high school, she continued her education and became a hair stylist. She married her sweetheart and soulmate, Kurt F. Harder on June 24, 1950 in Wilbraham, MA. They shared a blessed union of 66 years prior to his passing on January 21, 2017. Norma loved to cook her Italian foods, enjoyed playing card, sewing, quilting, crocheting and cherished time spent with family and friends. She volunteered at the Senior Center for many years. Norma and Kurt thoroughly enjoyed living in Dickinson Center in the home that they built. Her husband would fix up old motor homes and they would go camping to enjoy each other. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lee Harder of MA, two granddaughters, Corie and Michael Luzon and Alison and Zachary Smigelski, two great grandchildren, Abbigail Luzon and Gregory Smigelski and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Kurt, Norma was predeceased by her siblings, Louis Luzi, Oldion Luzi, Enyo Luzi, Edith Miller and Mable Varzeas.

Following Norma’s wishes, her family will honor her life privately. A memorial service and burial will take place in Massachusetts at the convenience of her family. Memories and condolences can be shared with Norma’s family at www.hammillfh.com.
