Phyllis M. Boyea, 75, of Constable, died Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Alice Center, Malone after a long battle with cancer.

Born on July 14, 1945 in Massena, NY, she was the daughter of Robert Kennedy and Edna Rust. They predeceased her.

Phyllis will be forever in the hearts of her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Paula Boyea of Chateaugay, daughter and son-in-law, Bryn and Chad Fefee of Constable; grandchildren, Kennedy, Chloe and Nolan Boyea and Brayden, Chandler and Jonas Fefee. Her grandchildren were the greatest joys of her life. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Rodney Hart as well as several cousins.

On April 12, 1969, she was united in marriage to Thomas Boyea for 34 years.

She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren often being seen at their sporting events and concerts. She was a very grateful and thankful grandmother. She enjoyed writing poetry and keeping her mind active with crossword puzzles. She loved listening and dancing to music.

Phyllis worked 11 years in Real Estate for Century 21 and eventually became a broker with her own agency. She also worked over 20 years as a dental assistant for Dr. O’Leary, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Hollis, retiring in 2005 due to health reasons.

A graveside service will be held at Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1. In accordance with current health restrictions, those in attendance are asked to observe the use of facial coverings and social distancing.
