Ray C. Adams, age 41, of Westville, NY passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. He had been receiving Dialysis treatment at the Hastings Hemodialysis Center in Malone for about three years. A funeral service will be held Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home in Malone. Visitation will be held prior from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. The burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Westville following the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home.
Ray was born June 10, 1981 in Massena, NY., to Richard J. Adams, Sr. and Catherine L. (Hayes) Adams. Ray graduated from Salmon River High School in 2000. He worked as a bartender at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. After that he worked as a gas attendant in Fort Covington for Twin Leafs. He was a huge sports fan. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. He played softball in Malone for over fifteen years, and enjoyed umping and coaching. Ray was a happy, outstanding guy and always had a smile.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Adams of Westville, NY; his brothers, Richard Adams Jr. and his companion, Nicole King of Massena, NY, Jack Adams of Westville, NY, and Robert Adams and his companion, Kayla Phillips of Constable, NY; his nieces and nephews, Kaylee and Brandon (Erica Bassett) Adams; a great-nephew, Bryson; and his best friend, his dog, Jake.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard Adams Sr.; and his sisters, Tammy and Melissa Adams.
