Stanley Alonso Bellows, 99, loving husband to Eleanor Orton Bellows, currently of Zephyrhills, Florida, entered his heavenly home on January 2, 2021.
Stanley was born in Bombay, NY, to Margaret Carr and Alonso Bellows who preceded him. He graduated from Brushton High School in 1940 and served in the US Army from 1942 to 1946. He spent most of his life in the North Bangor, NY area. He was an inspector for Alcoa in Massena, NY., for many years. Stanley supported several community activities, especially those related to the Brushton United Methodist Church and the Chateaugay United Methodist Church, in which his wife, Eleanor, served as a pastor for several years.
Stanley was preceded in death by his siblings: Marion Bellows Gleason, Dorothy Bellows McCullough, Gladys Bellows Farmer, Stephen Bellows, Edna Bellows Catalani and Roy Bellows. Stanley was also married to Viola Supernault, who preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, Eleanor Orton Bellows, he is survived by his two step-children: John (Felicia) Orton and Janine Orton (Michael) Hulland. He was Papa to several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he adored and they adored him. And he was Uncle Bud to several loving nieces and nephews.
Special love and thanks go out to Stanley’s granddaughter, Julie Orton Hover, who was by his side as he passed on to his heavenly home.
A private service will be held by the immediate family.
