BRUSHTON - With heavy hearts the family of Timothy J. McCarthy announce his passing on Monday (Dec. 21, 2020) at his home with the love of his family at his side. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home Moira.
Born in Malone on May 29, 1953 the son of Robert & Elizabeth McCarthy. He graduated from Brushton-Moira School in 1973. On September 16, 1978 Tim united into marriage with Barbara Russell at St Mary’s Church, Brushton. For 30 years he was employed at ALCOA retiring from the custodial department.
Tim was a country boy at heart who had a passion for restoring antique tractors, spending time in the woods and four-wheeling. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his wife, Barbara and his children, Allison (Corey) Holland of West Chazy, John and his companion, Rebecca Peryer of Brushton, and Andrew (Amber) of Moira. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Aislyn Holland, Lucas McCarthy, Callaghan McCarthy, Connor, Hunter, and Johnathon Evans. His siblings, Joan (David) Allen of Brushton, Robert (Marlene) McCarthy of Moira, Janice (Richard) Kirby of Hamilton, NY, and many nieces, nephews and cousins survive him.
He is predeceased by his parents.
A time of visitation will be held Saturday (Dec. 26th) from 12 to 12:50 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Brushton. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alice Ballard Hospice Fund or to ones local Vol. Fire and Rescue organizations.
