To the editor:
Chateaugay residents –– as a public hearing is scheduled for Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m., consider attending so the wind company doesn’t dictate the wind law rules on height and sun flicker, noise impact on you and your home that you have to live in.
The company person claims they are going to go around doing survey on noise, sun flicker impact on homes. They don’t care about you and how you are negatively affected by their wind turbines. They don’t live here in our town of Churubusco. We still are negatively impacted with no resolution given to complaints of noise and vibration, sun flicker, etc. We are told the noise level is within the town law, but they have never given printed proof off the so-called noise meter they claim they checked it with, so we are expected to take their word for it.
So don’t sit home and wish your elected officials are looking out for your interest; you may be in for a surprise. The town looks at revenue, the wind company looks at profit for investors. It’s not all in the interest of green energy.
Good luck, people of Chateaugay
