To the editor:

This letter is in support of Nate Hathaway for Malone Town Council. Nate has always been an active member of our community and having him as a member of our Town Council will help to further our community for the future.

Nate has lived in Malone his whole life and knows our town very well. After receiving a master’s degree in history education, he came back to his alma mater and has taught United States history at Franklin Academy since. From having him as a teacher, I have learned about the great amount of knowledge he has.

Nate was always prepared, very organized, and always approachable. I know for a fact that he will listen to the voices in our community and help to build our economy and community for the future. As my former teacher, he truly cares about his students and likes to keep informed about how they are doing. Nate is dedicated to the town of Malone, and will help to revive our community to thrive again.

Nate has always been a leader and having him on our Town Council will only help our community out. For the past nine years, Nate has been the president and vice president of the Malone Federation of Teachers, which has organized free community dinners throughout the year. This position is very burdensome and he has to deal with many issues, but he handles them with professionalism and tact.

During his high school career, Nate was a captain of the wrestling team and is one of the few Franklin Academy wrestlers to have 100-plus wins.

Nate has always been a leader in our community and is the best candidate for Malone Town Council. We need to think ahead to our future and vote for Nate Hathaway for Malone Town Council so that our town will continue to thrive and become better than before.

Vote Nate Hathaway, Malone Town Council.
