The largest gun show in New York state will be staged at the Empire Expo Center of the New York State Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 14, and Sunday, Sept. 15. More than 800 exhibits and displays will be provided by collectors and dealers from all over the country.
Featured will be displays and sales tables of U.S. military arms, Colt revolvers, high grade double barreled shotguns, muskets, gun parts and accessories, Native American items, frontier and Western paraphernalia, vintage firearms, knives, hunting and fishing items and military items from before the Revolutionary War to the present, among other things.
While most items are for sale on a cash basis, gun shows cling to the old fashioned trade and barter way of doing business. Haggling for the very best possible deal is both accepted and expected. Old and unwanted guns and military items will be purchased by collectors.
The Onondaga County sheriff’s pistol license unit will be in attendance on both days.
All firearms sales require, by law, an NICS background check and must be conducted through available dealers only, inside the hall. No private sales or trades or barters of firearms are permitted.
The show will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $7 per day for adults, $5 a day for senior citizens and free for children under 12 accompanied by a parent.
