POTSDAM – No. 5 Salmon River softball defeated No. 4 Potsdam, 10-8 on the road on Tuesday. The Class B first round was the first win of the season for the Shamrocks.

Tied 7-7 at the start of the seventh inning, the Shamrocks scored three runs after the first out to pull away.



Salmon River girls lacrosse continued its undefeated campaign, improving to 13-0. Kendall Jock scored a game-high five goals, followed by four tallies via Joryan Adams. Adams also had a game-high seven assists.

Paisley Cook, Wynter Jock and Ariyah LaFrance all scored hat tricks for the Shamrocks. Salmon River won the regular season title with the win.

“I would like to thank all of the parents of these truly amazing and gifted athletes,” Shamrocks coach Ron LaFrance said. “This year’s squad is a team that has been playing for a number of years. Our seniors and underclassmen blend in well together and we have been gelling all season long.”
