CONSTABLE — An early morning fire on Saturday destroyed a structure but resulted in no injuries, according to Constable’s fire chief.

Constable Fire Chief Todd Sweet described the trailer as a total loss and said the structure was not occupied when the fire broke out.

Sweet described the structure as a 14-by-70-foot mobile home, located off of state Route 122.

According to Sweet, he was first on scene, and he said the trailer was fully involved with flames when he arrived.

“It is a complete loss,” Sweet said. “It was heavily involved when I arrived on scene.”

Sweet said a cause of the early morning fire has not been determined, adding Franklin County fire investigators and state police are investigating.

Fire crews utilized a tanker shuttle in order to get water to the scene, according to Sweet.

Constable was dispatched to the scene shortly before 4 a.m.

Also assisting at the scene were crews from Burke, Malone, and Westville.

According to Franklin County dispatch, the fire took place at 1063 state Route 122.
