MALONE — Franklin County on Wednesday reported 20 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 15 recent recoveries, bringing the total number of infections to 172 known active cases, officials said.
As of Tuesday, the county’s positivity rate is 5.8% and the 7-day average is 5.7%.
Eight Franklin County residents have died from COVID-19 complications since the beginning of the pandemic. Cumulatively, since that time, the county has logged 1,131 suspected infections.
The County Manager’s office reported the total amount of current positive COVID-19 infections recorded at Bare Hill Correctional Facility is 18 cases. Upstate Correctional Facility has two positive cases and Franklin Correctional has one positive case.
