MALONE –– The number of active COVID_19 cases in Franklin County, which had been climbing slowly but steadily since June 17, reversed course at the end of the holiday weekend.
County Manager Donna Kissane reported Monday morning that the number of active cases, which had risen to six on Friday, had fallen by one to five. The decline came as one person who had tested positive for the virus has since recovered, statistics included in Kissane’s daily briefing email indicated.
Kissane has repeatedly noted that the numbers are very fluid and can change quickly.
Forty-seven people remained in isolation or quarantine Monday morning, a number that was unchanged from the weekend.
A total of 10,363 tests have been administered in the county.
