MALONE — Franklin County on Friday reported 29 new positive cases of COVID-19 — 12 of them inmates, officials said.
Eleven residents have recently recovered from the virus, bringing the total known active number of cases in the area to 283 infections.
Cumulatively, since the start of the pandemic, officials suspect there to have been at least 2,095 infections in the county. Nineteen-hundred thirty-seven cases have been confirmed.
There have been 12 total deaths in Franklin County, from complications brought on my the virus.
The positivity rate, as of Tuesday is 3.55%. The 7-day average is 4.92%.
There are currently 463 residents listed as either isolated or in quarantine. According to Franklin County’s online database, there have been no recorded changes in COVID-19 totals at the prison.
The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center on Thursday reported four new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of known cases under Tribe jurisdiction to 18 infections, Twenty-six Tribe members remain in quarantine, while one resident has recently recovered. One Tribe resident remains hospitalized due to virus-related symptoms.
