MALONE —The Kiwanis Club of Malone will be out along US Route 11 this Saturday shoveling out fire hydrants buried in the snow.

Members will be assembling at the Town of Malone Highway garage at 10 a.m. and will disperse along the highway uncovering fire hydrants that were installed last fall.

The Kiwanis Club has the support of both the Town and Village of Malone, who have been overwhelmed in their efforts to clear snow after the recent storm.

Any member of the community is welcome to help out or adopt a near-by hydrant and keep it clear of snow accumulations so emergency personnel can have immediate access if needed.
