MALONE — A North Bangor man was arrested on Academy Street, Thursday morning.

Robert Allen, 30, of North Bangor, faces multiple charges, including three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Allen was arrested by Malone Village Police, after a concerned citizen contacted the department and reported witnessing an individual passed out in a parked vehicle on Academy Street, according to an email from Malone Village Police Chief Christopher Premo.

Village police responded to Academy Street shortly after 8 a.m., and a subsequent investigation by responding officers revealed Allen was in possession of several ounces of cocaine, several different controlled substances, and over $9,000 in U.S. currency, according to Premo’s email.

Allen was in arraigned in Malone Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
