BANGOR — A Syracuse man was arrested following an altercation in Bangor, Monday evening.

Jonathan Cage, 37, of Syracuse, was charged by New York State Police with menacing 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, and two counts of criminal mischief 4th degree.

According to a press release from the New York State Police, law enforcement was called to a residence on State Route 11 at approximately 6:49 p.m., and an investigation revealed that Cage brandished a knife and threatened the victims, breaking a coffee table inside the residence before proceeding to slash the tires of a vehicle on the property, before fleeing on foot.

Cage was located and arrested by state police on State Route 11 and was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana, according to the press release.
